The instructions below, according to the Word version on your computer, can be used to enable or disable the automated formatting capability and choices in Microsoft Word.
Microsoft Word 2007 and newer
- Start up Microsoft Word.
- Click on the File tab.
- In the left navigation window, click the Options link.
- Click the Check button in the left navigation pane of the Word Options box.
- Select AutoCorrect Options from the menu.
- Click the AutoFormat tab in the AutoCorrect window.
Users can activate or disable any auto-formatting features they do not wish to employ in this area.
