  2. Open Android File Transfer.
    It immediately opens the next time your phone is connected.
  3. Get your phone unlocked.
  4. Connect your phone to your computer via a USB cord.
  5. Tap the notice that says Charging this device via USB on your phone.
  6. Choose File Transfer from the Use USB for.
  7. Your computer will launch a window for Android File Transfer.
    Drag files onto it.
  8. When finished, disconnect the USB cord.

Chromebook

  1. Get your phone unlocked.
  2. Connect your phone to your Chromebook via a USB cord.
  3. Get your phone unlocked.
  4. Tap the notice that says Charging this device via USB on your phone.
  5. Choose File Transfer from the Use USB for.
  6. Your Chromebook launches the Files app.
    Drag files onto it.
  7. When finished, disconnect the USB cord.
