Setting margins in most software programs
Any document’s margins may often be changed by modifying its attributes, page properties, or page layout.

Changing the margins in Excel and Word
Word and Excel 2007 and newer
- Click the Layout or Page Layout tab in the Ribbon bar, then select the Margins menu item.
- To determine the margins you wish the document to have, either choose one of the preset margin options or choose Custom Margins.
- In order to establish the chosen margins, click the Ok button.
Word and Excel 2003 and older versions
- Click Page Setup from the File menu.
- Enter the appropriate margin lengths under the headline Margins or use the arrow buttons next to each margin to enlarge or reduce the margins.

Margin settings for Google Docs
