To access Control Panel, press the Windows key, type Control Panel, and then click Enter.

Add the user to your Microsoft account

You must verify your identity as well as your Microsoft account.

When prompted, enter your account credentials.

Enter the email address associated with the new user’s Microsoft account in the Add Someone window, then click Next.

Add the new user’s Microsoft account email address.

To add a new user account, follow the remaining instructions and provide basic information.

Create a new local user account

If you don’t have this person’s login information, click the I don’t have this person’s login information link.

Click the Add user without a Microsoft account link in the next window.

For a new local account, enter the username, account password, and password again.

Additional fields appear after you enter your password a second time.

Select three security questions from the drop-down menu and provide an answer for each.

To finish creating a local user account, click the Next button.
