Android users have several alternatives, including built-in functionality, third-party apps, and cable connections.
Let’s look at each option, starting with the easiest and working our way up to the hardest.
Chromecast
If you have a Chromecast dongle or a smart TV with Chromecast built-in, make sure the app you want to watch on your TV supports it.
If that’s the case, you can transfer content from your phone to your TV with just a few taps.
Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, and Google Photos are among the supported apps, but many of them are already available on your Android TV or Chromecast with Google TV.
Make sure your phone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast or smart TV, then tap the square icon in the app.

A Plex server installed on your computer can store and stream music, photos, and movies to your TV.
You can explore your collection using the mobile app, choose which material you want to stream, and cast it to your TV via Chromecast or DLNA.
The downside of using the Plex app is that every time you want to stream your files, the computer where you set up the server must be turned on and connected to the internet.
Plex, on the other hand, allows you to host media files that are significantly larger than what would fit on your phone.
