Your Windows desktop can be customized in various ways.
How to change the background is a question that many people ask themselves if they want to beautify their desktop, and it is also one of the most popular system options.
The following parts will teach you how to do this in the Windows 11 version.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Press the Windows key, then type Settings and press Enter.
Select Personalization from the left navigation menu under Settings.
Click on the Background option on the right side of the window.
Select the type of background to use from the drop-down box for the Personalize background option in the background settings.
Select an image from the Recent Images area or click the Browse Photos option to locate the image file on your computer if you selected Image as your background type.
Once you’ve selected a photo, go to the Choose Customization for Desktop Image drop-down box and choose how you want the image to appear as your background.
The Fill option adjusts the width of the image to fit the computer screen.
Fit adjusts the height of the image to fit the computer screen.
The Stretch option stretches the image to fill the entire computer screen, which can distort the image.
Select a color in the Select background color area if you select Solid color as the background type.
If you want a different color, click Show Colors, select the color you want from the color chart, and then click Done.
If you select Slideshow as the background type, click the Browse option to select a photo album on your computer to use as the slideshow source.
If you wish, make further adjustments to the slideshow, below is a summary of each setting.
- Change picture every (Change picture every) – Set the time interval for each photo in the slideshow.
- Changing the order of pictures in the slide show (Shuffling the picture order) – Enable or disable the random display of photos in the presentation.
- Let slideshow run even if I’m on battery power – Let slideshow run even if I’m on battery power or turn it off to save battery life.
- Choose a fit for your desktop image – Fill, fit or stretch are options for how slide photos are displayed as a background.
